Killer Ambition -- 5 of 5 Stars

Killer Ambition -- Marcia Clark -- 5 of 5 Stars

Let me start out by saying I received this book for free through Goodread's First Read.. Second I do not normally like this genre of books and third FIVE stars all the way! I loved loved loved everything about the book. This is really how I felt as I read the book.
Forget that I read the unedited version. Forget that there were some writing mistakes. I loved the characters and will definitely go back and read books one and two and I sure hope to read more about Rachel Knight. The characters in this book had personalities they were people and that is something many authors fail to convey when writing a story. Nothing negative to say about this entire book. I think I have found a new author and a new genre!

The Sunday Arrangement -- Contains Spoilers

The Sunday Arrangement -- Lucy Smith 2 of 5 Stars

25% -- The beginning was slow.....easing on I wanted action and just wanted them to get on with the action. I was bored only wondering if I would read the rest of the book or if it was going to be added to my DNR list. I am not a quitter so I made the leap to finish it.. TRUTH: I was in a buddy read so I needed to finish at this point.
28% --I was getting excited waiting for what was getting ready to happen behind those doors hoping this would entice me to finish the book.
33% -- I am really bored... I feel as though my grandmother is talking in this book...
36% -- It takes a LONG time to get to Sunday in this book and the dates are backwards one movement she is enjoying coffee on a Sunday morning and the next night it is Saturday Night again. Serious Lack of editing in this book.
54%-- I am going to finish this book..and I keep praying that it gets better but right now I am so annoyed at the small things I can't get into the story line.  You can't get a penis correct, you can't get the days of the week correct, and there is a huge difference between a condo and a apartment. How did the editor miss these things??? There are 10 names for a penis on one page. Serious editing mistakes in this book.
56% -- OMG! Has she not learned anything? -- Language along with spoiler...
(view spoiler)[After the dealings with the professor her fantasy is a video.. Dude is she a fool?? What happens when April or the chef sells the damn video and again she is stuck in the tabloids.. I want to smack her right now in the head. Hell a video might be fun but, do it with someone you trust... Reminds me of some Kim Kardashian shit right here!
60% -- The part about her father is gross. What in the world absolutely sad and ridiculous. Child Pornography anyone??
The book picks up towards the end... I finish it and it ends in a CLIFFHANGER!
Here is my Review...

As I write this review I have no idea in this world what I just read .. First lets start with the good..the sex was awesome.. the description of the sex not so much.. The use of three words in one paragraph to describe a cock was a little to much for me The days of the week were a little backwards it would be Saturday Night but, Friday and a couple of other REALLY weird things. I did not hate the book but, I definitely was not as excited as I was after reading other reviews. I honestly left the book feeling confused as all get out. . There were parts that I liked and the ending other than the much anticipated cliffhanger was honestly pretty interesting but, again just odd. I won't give this book a one because I didn't hate it but, I would have to say 2.5 stars and rate it at a 2 because it just wasn't there for me. I have read Fifty Shades and the comparison is nothing similar. I am just shell shocked after reading this because I am still freakin confused. The sad think is if there is a book 2 I hope there is some major editing but, I will have to read it because now I want to know how things ended!

Smut .. Short Stories.. and Reviews

Birthday Burglar : 2 of 5 Stars
The book was definitely okay. Weird but okay. Had some real laugh out loud moments but a few what in the world was the author thinking moments. To me it was just odd all the way around from the surprises, the dog, and everything else up to and including the burglary scene. I think it was cute but, ODD in which I had to give it 2 stars saying it was an OK read.

The Proposition Lucia Jordan -- 3 of 5 stars
While I liked the book, I am beginning to think that these short stories are just that short stories with no character building efforts involved. I liked the book and I am going to read the rest of the series just because but, I hate leaving a book screaming I want more. This book was okay but okay enough for me to read the next one in the story just to find out how the proposition goes. There is something about a rich millionaire who makes demands while not really making them.

Something by Ted Stetson 2 of 5 stars
I think that this story has a lot of potential if it was longer. While reading the story I felt drawn to want to know more about the characters and although I did think it was cute he named his children after his former high school sweetheart I thought that it was odd that the mother of the children allowed him to do so.

Cocks and Cars -- Daniel DeLoite -- 1 of 5 stars
I have to say that this book was like a derailed train. I liked that the book had a story line but, what I didn't like was that it was all over the place. I couldn't really place who was who and who was with who or anything else to that matter during the entire book.

Finding Time - Random I Am

In life we all wonder about time! What is it? How do we contol it? Can we speed it up or slow it down? Mothers want there children to stay young forever and sometimes I wonder if this affects the mother as she gets older. I think a mother wonders why her child does not come around, does not always answer the phone, and sometimes delays getting in touch. Does this mean a family is falling apart or does it mean that a child is getting older and wants distance? I wish that I could find the answers or even give a little advice. I am the child who does answer the phone, who makes sure that I visit but, sometimes I do wonder at what point do we have to Find the Time to look at our surroundings wondering what we can give up to gain more time.

A Kindle on Fire

My Kindle is on FIREEE Literally...

So for Christmas my lovely other half purchased me a Kindle Fire.. How exciting!! I love this new contraption. (I can see the front of my books and can read when he turns the lights out on me at night). Also if I do not feel like reading I can play me a game of spades fun fun! You think I am being sarcastic but, I am not I am truly excited over this gift that I got for Christmas. Since I got it I have read 9 books! Did you hear me?? Nine whole books. And I have only had the thing a week. I am on a Christmas Book kick because I randomly download all kinds of stuff from Amazon for free so I am trying to clean the thing up and felt IT IS CHRISTMAS why not read all of my Christmas book! (I get an A+ for being smart right now)

Since I am on Winter Break I have read all kinds of cute books.. See my other blog for the list (The one that says 2013 Book Challange) I have said that with school, a wedding, and life I am going to read 200 books. I think that I can do it.

Spying in High Heels -- Gemma Holiday

Mental Head Slap.....

First as awful as I feel this week I am shocked that I can take the time to read a book. So glad it was free and made me giggle. Truthfully I have not LOL'd at a book in a long time but, this one was ridiculous at times and I had to laugh.

OKKKKKKKK! I am a dork but, a sucker for Free Books on the Kindle. Some are brilliant some are not so brilliant. Right now I am reading Spying in High Heels.  Too cute. Okay I know that bad spelling, bad punctuations, bad grammar, BUT it is FREE. So you have to rate it on material and what you really think of the story.

I am about 50% done with the book and although it doesn't have a lot of meaning it does say something to me.. It says Crazy. I adore the fashion crazed, dingy (yes my made up word), procrastinating Maddie who I think it just to cute. I love that she thinks her mom's husband is gay and that the woman met the man on Match.com. Because, she didn't really "know" her man she reminds me a lot of myself .. I give people a chance some even when they don't deserve it.. As I go on to finish the book I am actually excited about what Maddie is going to do next.

Okay, I can't see him but, Ramirez reminds me of one of those hot CSI cops who you want to reach through the screen and grab him. Hunk and all. Oh wait I am engaged but, come on Maddie drop those illusions of the lying, cheating, scumbag Richard and get Hunktified "Angelism.meaning....in the bed with Ramirez"! Oh wait I am engaged I will leave it alone and remember my loving man who is at home waiting for me to get out of work. (It's a book a girl can dream)!

Word I really had to look up (I feel like a fruitcake) -- And I have a 4.0 in College What does this say about me???
